René Calixte Martin
René Martin, 74 of Moncton, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in St. Louis Cape, he was the son of the late Calixte and Bernadette (Vautour) Martin.
René loved his family, he enjoyed gardening, especially growing and sharing his bountiful tomatoes.
He is survived by his partner of 17 years, Calvin Collicutt; daughter Sylvie McDonald (Ricky), grandchildren Brandon (Emilie McGrath), Tania (Aiven Tynaliev) and Adrian; great grandchildren Skyllar, Paisley and Mason; sisters Laura Daigle (Gerald), Rose-Ella Fillmore, Nicole Johnson (Rony), Bernice Tucker (Chuck) and brother Stéphane Martin (Tammy), brother-in-law David Sullivan.
In addition to his parents, René was predeceased by a son Jean-Pierre, siblings Néri, Ronald and Jeanne-Eva; brother-in-law Daryl Fillmore.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995) on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM, Fr. Angus Johnston celebrant. Reception to follow.
