Shantz, Ray
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Barnswallow Place, Elmira at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Vera (Weber) Shantz for 52 years. Dear father of Derek and Tawnya Shantz of Hawkesville, Brenda and Wayne Brubacher of Yatton, David and Carolyn Shantz of Hawkesville. Cherished grandfather of Winston, Jeriah, Donovan, Isaiah, Desarae, Kyrina; Emma, Hannah, Levi; Zachary, Carter, Mason and Olivia.
Brother of Marlene and Dave Martin, Merle and Rita Shantz, and brother-in-law of Murray Weber, Ray and Evelene Weber, Ron Weber, Shirley and Willard Martin. Predeceased by his parents Aden and Edna Shantz, children Dwayne, Carolyn and Judy, and brother James.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2025, and from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Crystal View Mennonite Church, 2167 Floradale Rd., Floradale. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Crystal View Mennonite Church, with interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
