Philip Rauch Death Notice
Phil died unexpectedly, on Friday, January 3, 2025, the result of a pulmonary embolism. He was 62 years old.
Phil adored his children Melissa Kuber (Steve Langstaff) of Smithville and Matthew of North Bay; and cherished his grandchildren Emmett, Violet and Gabe.
Phil maintained a deep and lasting relationship with his former wife and mother of his children Valerie (Straus) of Gravenhurst.
He was predeceased by his parents Margaret (Hamm) (1940-2019) and Siegfried Rauch (1928-2022), and his brothers Mark (1962-2019) and Craig (1971-1984). He is survived by his brothers Peter (Sylvia) of British Columbia and John (Cheryl) of Chisholm.
Phil enjoyed a long career with Goodyear in North Bay. Of his many admirable traits, being a true and loyal friend was utmost. Phil took care to keep in touch with friends and family, including those overseas. Travelling to visit relatives in Germany and England were some of the most memorable trips of his life. Above all, Phil was most devoted to his children and grandchildren. Being their Dad and Papa was his purpose for living.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Phil’s life will be announced at a later date.
