Norma Jean Bird (Rosborough), aged 97, at home at Carleton Manor, Woodstock N.B., February 23, 2025.
Born in Avondale New Brunswick November 18, 1927, Norma graduated from Hartland High School in 1945 and continued her education in secretarial and business studies before joining Connor Brothers Limited in Blacks Harbor. Married in 1948 to Wally Bird, the couple settled in Hartford Connecticut, retiring to Avondale N.B. in 1982.
Norma is survived by her brother Bob Rosborough, nephews Larry (Susan) and Brian, and grandnephews Jake (Ashley) and Luke (Becca), and great-grandniece Ruthie Rosborough.
Norma was predeceased by her beloved husband Wally, her parents James and Ida (Henry) Rosborough and brothers Donald, Fred (Fern) and George Rosborough.
Funeral arrangements with the Carleton Funeral Home in Jacksonville N.B. and interment in the Barony Cemetery will be arranged in the spring.
Norma’s family would like to express sincere thanks to the dedicated staff of Carleton Manor for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carleton Manor or Barony Cemetery.
