It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Miles Richard on Monday February 24, 2025 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 69.
Miles was a beloved father, brother, and friend. He was a gentle and kind-hearted man whose infectious laughter, along with his joyful and playful spirit, will live on in our memories.
Known as the “King of Karaoke,” Miles could always be found at the center of any gathering, bringing laughter and fun with his unmistakable sense of humor and charming pranks. A true competitor at heart, he found joy in sports and games, whether it was golf, darts, or mastering shuffleboard. His love for friendly competition was matched only by his passion for life itself.
He leaves to mourn his forever loving friend Leona, his brother Roger (Anne-Louise), his children Andrea (Bill Geddes), and Kevin (Stephanie Nielsen); his grandchildren Ashleigh, Braydon, Kylah and Noah, along with special loved ones, Verlaine, Keith, Ryan, Justin, Kalisha, the mother of his children Julie, many nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law Diane Richard.
He is predeceased by his parents, Roger and Dolores (nee Laflamme), his brothers Marc, and Kim, and his dear friend Jean-Louis Trépanier.
The family will receive friends on Friday February 28, 2025 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre, where we will honor the wonderful person Miles was. Remembrance donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Rest in peace, Miles. You will be greatly missed but forever remembered. Your lighthearted spirit and love of life will continue to inspire us every day.

La famille annonce avec tristesse le décès de Miles Richard le vendredi 24 février 2025 à l’hôpital de Timmins et du district à l’âge de 69 ans.
Miles était un père, un frère et un ami aimable. Il était un homme doux, avec un grand coeur. Son rire contagieux et son esprit joyeux demeureront gravés dans nos mémoires à jamais.
Connu comme “Le roi de Karaoke,” Miles se retrouvait souvent au centre des rassemblements. Son bon sens d’humour et son enthousiasme à jouer des tours faisait rire les gens. Il aimait compétitionner et s’amusait à participer à des sports et des jeux, tels que le golf, les darts et shuffleboard. Son amour pour les compétitions amicales était égal à sa passion pour la vie.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa chère amie Leona, son frère Roger (Anne-Louise), ses enfants Andrea (Bill Geddes), et Kevin (Stephanie Nielsen); ses petits-enfants Ashleigh, Braydon, Kylah et Noah, ainsi que des personnes spéciales, entre autres, Verlaine, Keith, Ryan, Justin, Kalisha, la mère de ses enfants Julie, plusieurs nièces et neveux, et sa belle-sœur Diane Richard.
Il fût prédécédé par ses parents, Roger et Dolores (née Laflamme), ses frères Marc et Kim, et son bon ami Jean-Louis Trépanier.
La famille recevra les condoléances, tout en honorant Miles, le vendredi 28 février 2025 de 19h à 21h à la Maison funéraire LESSARD. Vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à la Fondation des maladies du cœur.
Repose en paix Miles. Tu nous manqueras et nous ne t’oublierons jamais. Ton esprit léger et ton amour ff pour la vie continuera à nous inspirer à chaque jour.
