Obituary of Melissa Madeline Nagy
It is with great sorrow that the family of Melissa Nagy announces her passing on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 49. Beloved daughter of Frank Sr. and the late Céline (née Desilets). Treasured sister of Frank Jr. (Vicki), Steve (Rachel), and Shaun. Aunt Melissa will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephew, Cassandra, Stephen, Lindsay, and Megan (Taylor). She will be deeply missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved cats, Lucy & Marx.
Melissa was known for her kindness, compassion, and infectious sense of humor. Her laughter and loving spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She had recently relocated back to Welland from Guelph to be closer to family and pursue other opportunities. Melissa had many passions and interests, particularly in the arts, primarily in film and theatre. Never afraid to take on projects both small and large. She also enjoyed sports, and spending time with family and friends. She was a true joy to be around, and our time together will always be treasured. The family would like to thank Dr Kati Barrett and staff of ICU at Hamilton General for their care and efforts.
The family invites relatives and friends to join them in celebrating Melissa’s life at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, Welland on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 2:00-4:00p.m and 6:00-8:00p.m. Funeral service will be held at Welland Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, at 11:30a.m. As an expression of sympathy donations to Niagara SPCA and Humane Society would greatly be appreciated by the family.
