On January 12, 2025, Marvin “Marz” Francis Berland of Pelican Lake, Saskatchewan, formerly of Frog Lake, Alberta, passed away at the age of 36 years. He is survived by his spouse, Angela Shingoose; son, Jayven Moocheweines; adopted children, Rollen Whitefish & Aiden Whitefish; step-children, Christian Shingoose & Jayda Thomas; father, Leonard Castor; siblings, Ivan Berland (LaQuinna), Priscilla Berland (Travis), Joey Berland (Sheryl), Christopher Berland (Cindy) & April Berland (Byron); numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Marvin was predeceased by his mother, Emily Aldena Berland (2004); maternal grandparents, Alice Berland (1999) & Francis Berland (2013); maternal auntie, Virginia Berland (2020); cousins, Ross Berland (2004), Vaughn Berland (2011), Charles Berland (2019) & Lorna Berland (2020); paternal grandparents, Cora Castor(2011) & Edward Marsh (1991); paternal aunt, June Castor (2020); uncle, Kenny Makokis (1993). A wake will be held on Thursday (leaving Grace Gardens at 11:00 a.m.) & Friday, January 16 & 17 at Norman C. Quinney Careers Centre, Frog Lake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m.at Norman C. Quinney Careers Centre, Frog Lake. Pastor Brian Horse will be officiating with interment in Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Cemetery, Frog Lake.
