Peacefully, at the
Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, Margaret Rose
“Peggy” Rydzewski, 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 18,
2020, beloved wife of the late Tom Rydzewski.
Born on Lennox Island
First Nation on December 11, 1938, daughter of the late Chief Jacob
Sark and late Alma Mitchell (Cormier), step-daughter of the late
Daniel Mitchell.
Peggy will be
remembered forever by her daughter, Susan MacArthur (Robert) Union
Road, PEI and son Tom (Tommy) Rydzewski New Gloucester, Maine. She was
so very proud of her family, especially the grand and great
grandchildren: Nicole Hawkins (Chad), Johanna Schindel (Evan), Ian T.
MacArthur (Maranda), Kayla Cagley (James) and Jack
Rydzewski, and great grandchildren: Mackenzie, Madison and Jacob
(Jake) Dubois, Bella Hawkins, Wesley Schindel, Aiden Cagley, Kacie,
Hunter and Maverick Arbing.
Since Peggy’s
passing, her brothers John Joe Sark (Eileen), Jimmy Sark, and Hubert
Sark made their journey to the beyond. She was predeceased by
brothers, sisters and their spouses: Mary Catherine Sark, Ester Sark,
Madeleine Knockwood (Frank), Leo Augustine (Teresa), Dorothy Bernard
(David), Cyrus Sark (Sarah) Marina Bernard (Stephen), Mary Bernard
(Mosey), Lloyd Sark (Lillian), Johnny (Jake) Sark, Michael
Sark.
There will be a
memorial mass to celebrate Peggy’s life on Friday, August 1, 2025 at
St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island First Nation at 11:00
celebrated by Rev. Fr Yesudasu Gorre. Interment will follow in the
Parish Cemetery.
In lieu
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Anne’s Roman Catholic
Church, P.O. Box 134, 2 Eagle Feather Trail, Lennox Island, PE, C0B
