Passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025 at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare, palliative care at 103 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Leon for 58 years. Dear mother of Richard and wife Jean. Loving grandmother of the late Julie (2014) and husband Luke Van Dongen, James and wife Lisa Martin. Cherished great-grandmother of Ryan Van Dongen, Victoria and William Martin. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Georgina Mayea and her siblings.
Lorraine was a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing (1943) and retired from Hotel Dieu Hospital after many years of service. She was a member of the Board of Directors at Villa Maria for 5 years and a member of the CWL of Sacred Heart Church. If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Transition to Betterness (T2B) would be appreciated by the family.
Visiting Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Sunday 4 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor (519-969-5841). On Monday, March 24, 2025 family and friends will meet at Sacred Heart Church LaSalle at 10:30 a.m. for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
