Chapman
Born in Tidnish Bridge, NS to the late
Eunice (Bugley) and Lorne Kirby.
She worked at Margolians Dept. Store for
many years before and after her marriage to Reg. Her and Reg lived and
worked in Boston for some time and then moved back to Tidnish Bridge.
Lorna loved to entertain, especially dinner parties, house parties and
lawn parties. Music was always a big part of Lorna’s life.
Her and Reg sang at the Tidnish Jam for many years. Her and Reg could
always be seen boating on the Tidnish river in the summer. She made
many friends on the river and her boating buddies called her
“Queen of the River”. Lorna loved fashion and loved to shop
at Frenchie’s on the look out for brand
names.
She is survived by her husband Reg, son
Rick (Norma), daughter Melanie (Ken) and her granddaughter, Regan, the
love of her life. Also by her sister in law Lois Kirby and several
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Danny and
brothers Donnie and Billy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst (902-667-8777) There will be no funeral, a graveside
service will be held at a later date.
Those wishing to make a donation in
memory of Lorna may do so to a charity of choice.
