MATTHEWS, Leonard George – passed away at Portal Village on Thursday, March 20, 2025 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Margaret. Loving father of Arthur “Bill” Eisnor (Lyne) and Sarah Matthews. Cherished grandfather of Luke. Dear brother of David Matthews (Sheila) and brother-in-law of Lucille Matthews. He will be lovingly remembered by everyone in Margaret’s family and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Walter (2019). The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. followed by a service to celebrate Leonard’s life in the Cudney Chapel at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the March of Dimes would be appreciated by the family.
