Obituary of Larry Meadows
Meadows: Laurent “Larry”, a resident of Bothwell, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the age of 74. Born in Hull, Quebec, son of the Late William and Berthe (DeRepentieny) Meadows. Beloved husband of Sandra (Dixon) Meadows. Loving dad of Nicole Mezenberg (Jeff) and Luke Meadows. Proud Papa of Boey, Jaycee and Kenna. Sadly missed by his furry friend Leela. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joanne Meadows-Stacho (Late Barney), Helen Meadows (late Gary) and late Richard Meadows. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his family. He was dedicated to Bothwell Legion Branch 252. He could often be found there playing darts, cards, working on the building, enjoying a meat draw, or sitting by his window on the patio with his 3:00 group. He was on the Legion executive for decades, and was the President for 9 years. If he wasn’t at the Legion, you could usually find Larry on a roof, taking his dog for a ride in the truck, or watching a Blue Jays game – always with a cold Pepsi in his hand.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses involved in his care.
At Larry’s request cremation will take place. A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held on June 7th from 1-4 at the Bothwell Legion. Donations by cheque to the Bothwell Legion (c/o 162 George St, Bothwell, ON N0P 1C0) would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, Bothwell.
