Allan’s Obituary
DOUCETTE, Joseph “Allan” ~ Age 81, of Berwick, Kings Co., N.S., passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at home. Born on March 31, 1943, in Yarmouth County, he was a son of the late John Albenie and Leona Mary (Muise) Doucette.
Allan had worked in Montreal, Toronto, and later at Berwick Bakery for 29 years. He was then employed at Bargain Harleys, Forsythe Farm and Fosters Fire and Safety.
Surviving are his devoted companion of 47 years, Janet Lutz; daughter, Lisa (Craig) Landsburg, Berwick; grandchildren, Cassie and Alexa; stepsons, Robert (Vicki) Richardson, Leduc, Alberta; Bruce Richardson, Waterville; brother, Willard (Anne) Doucette, of Plympton; sisters, AnnieMay (the late Jerry) Doucette, and Angelle (John) Surette, both of Quinan; Dorothy (Flavien) Doucette, Belleville; special sister-in-law, Norma Giffin, Berwick.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, David; twin sisters, Ella and Stella.
Cremation has taken place at interment will take place at a later date in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Diabetes Canada.
