Obituary of John Gerald Ferwerda
On Monday March 17, John Gerald Ferwerda was suddenly called home by his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by his wife Sharon, his children Andrea (Chris), Jessica (Jedd), Jonathan, Charlene, and his grandchildren Colin, Brooklynn, Willow, Jevin, Jasper, Kian, and Hadley. John will also be missed by his sisters Phylis (Mark) and Georgina (Ralph) and their families.
John loved working outdoors in the woodlot. He took great pride in his firewood business, cutting, splitting and delivering to his loyal customers.
John also had a great love for his church and enjoyed playing the keyboard with his worship team at Forest Baptist Church. His faith in Jesus Christ was most important to him followed closely by his dedication to his family. He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren and they adored him.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday March 20, 2025, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, at Forest Baptist Church.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday March 21, 2025, at 1pm at Forest Baptist Church, followed by refreshments and a private family burial.
If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Youth For Christ Sarnia-Lambton or Teen Challenge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Denning’s of Forest.
