Joan L. MacLeod
1958-2025
Joanie MacLeod passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital on February 15, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends.
Joan graduated from Colonel Grey and entered the Charlottetown School
of Nursing. She worked as an RN across Canada and the USA and finished
out her career at the QEH. She got active in competitive bowling at
the Murphy Center and did the Island proud all over the
maritime’s and Canada. She loved a good game of cards and
you would often find her at her cousins, the Bells on a Friday night.
She was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Mary (Prowse) MacLeod

sadly missed by her siblings Allan (Heather), Douglas (Beverly),
Debbie (George) Heald, Joyce (Mike) White, and Bruce (Geri-deceased)
and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
A special thanks to our first cousins, the Bell family. She
will be greatly missed by her canine buddy, Chase. Special thanks to
Dr. Baglole, Dr. Chris Saunders, Dr. Balfour, Dr. Corbett, Dr.
McCarville and to the staff of Unit 1 who gave her exceptional care
and to us her family. Also to the ER Department and
EMS.

February 22, 2025 in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. A private
