Obituary of Janice Walker-Poole
Poole- Janice Walker of St. Thomas passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday March 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with Parkinsons, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital at the age of 67.
Dearly loved and missed by her husband Richard and by her children Scott & Brooke Poole, Curtis & Chloe Jutras- Poole and Allison & Ryan Mikulic. Proud grandmother of Juniper, Benjamin, Corrine. Dear sister of Bert (Mary) Walker, Jim (Susan) Walker, Eleanor (Allen) Mitchell and Donna Walker (Joe Neves). She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is fondly remembered by Poole in-laws, Betty (Burt) Sherman, Wayne Pridham (late Connie) and Bill Poole (late Diane).
Janice was born April 19,1957 in London, the daughter of the late Alden and Alice Walker. Janice formerly worked at Zellers, Amway of Canada and was a substitute Secretary at the Board of Education. Janice enjoyed travelling and crafting and she thoroughly enjoyed her time with family and friends at the camp up north in Lake Nipissing.
Public Visitation will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S Lambeth on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Private family funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Donations can be made to the Parkinsons Foundation in memory of Janice.
