The death occurred at the Palliative Care unit of Community
Hospital, O’Leary on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 of James
Edward “Eddie” MacEachern of O’Leary, aged 90,
beloved husband of the late Isabel Harriett MacEachern. Eddie was born
in the Brae on February 8, 1934, son of the late Hughie &
Blanche (Baglole) MacEachern.
Cherished father to Janet (Donald) Smallman,
O’Leary; Dwane (Kathy), Summerside; Kevin (Karen),
Charlottetown; Allan (Tracey) Alberton and son in law Glenn Ellis,
Summerside. Loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and great
grandfather to 10 great grandchildren.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents, wife Isabel (October
16, 2020), daughters Karen Ann MacEachern and June Ellis, grandson
Christopher, sister Muriel (Lester) Lewis and brother
Roy.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visitation on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral
service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment in the Brae
United Church Cemetery.
