Jacqueline Christenson
Jacqueline (Laughland) (Whelan) Christenson passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 in Warman, Sk., after a short battle with cancer. She was 88.
Jacqueline is survived by her only daughter Kelly Blanch of Red Deer, 2 granddaughters: Nicole (Austin) Montgomery, Rhiannon (John) Bradley and grandson Adrien (Ayla) Keith along with 6 great grandchildren. She was preceased by her husband George Christenson and son in law Michael Blanch.
Jacqueline had a successful career with Canada Post, breaking barriers as a female Post Master in the early 70’s. That career took to her to a variety of postings in Alberta, retiring in Sedgewick, Alberta. She was an avid downhill skier, curler and golfer. Later years found her involved in birding and genealogy. Anyone that had even a brief conversation with her would soon realize what a staunch NDP supporter she was and social activist.
