Giovanni is survived by his wife Maria and predeceased by his siblings of which he was the youngest.
Originally from Sicily, Italy, the family moved to Genoa. In 1967 Giovanni made the decision to immigrate to Canada and built a life having found work in the construction industry.
Giovanni enjoyed his espressos and spending time with friends at the Italian club of Oshawa.
