Gertrude Roberts-Grant Obituary
It is with broken hearts that the family of Gertrude Mae Roberts-Grant announces her passing on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on September 23, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Isabel (nee. Martin) Blizzard.
Gertrude is survived by her loving son Kevin Roberts; brothers John and Wayne (Pam) Blizzard; sisters: Barbara Koks, Betty Ann Lamb, and Jean Little; sisters-in-law Geraldine and Norma Blizzard; friend Kimmy Kingston; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Christopher Grant; brothers: Percy (Joyce), Murray, Donnie, Jimmy, David (Deanna), and Malcom Blizzard; sisters: Mildred Blizzard, Joan (Buddy) Theall, Nancy (Doug) Mowery, and Doreen Blizzard; brothers-in-law: Ralph Little, Bill Koks, and Lauchlan Lamb; and sister-in-law Linda Forbes.
Gertrude was a fun loving, kind, and outspoken woman. She had a big heart and was extremely generous. She worked in the dietary department at the Saint John Regional Hospital for many years.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2424. Visitation for Gertrude will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 2:00 PM in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel; interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
