On February 22, 2025 Geraldine (Gerry) Lois Timm (Stewart) entered eternal glory at the age of ninety-five. She was born December 1, 1929 in Upper Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia. She was baptized October 12, 1930. She married Arthur Timm on September 13, 1958. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Arthur Timm of Saskatoon, two sons, Wayne (Sandra) of Regina, Murray (Kathryn) of Saskatoon, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her sister Daryl (Garry Lindberg) of Ottawa. She was predeceased by her parents George Burnham Stewart and Dorothy Victoria Fulton, Her Step-Mother Zilpha Verna Powers, Her brothers Norman, Hector, and Gerald, her sisters Phyllis Drysdale and Nancy Zinck.
She grew up in Nova Scotia. In the 1950s she moved to Saskatoon, and stayed with her sister Phyllis. She worked as a bookkeeper at GMAC and as an assistant at John Dolan school. She was a stay-at-home mother for her two sons. She enjoyed making banners and many of them are still hanging at St. Paul’s. She worked with the LWML ladies’ group to make handmade ornaments and bead-work that were given out to shut ins, the elderly, and to her family.
Funeral services will be held March 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 627 Taylor Street, Saskatoon.
Donations in memory of Gerry can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan or to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
