It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Tomlinson, who left us on February 23, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 8, 1961, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Gary made the courageous decision to move to Canada in 1990 to pursue his passion for auto mechanics. Gary was a dedicated mechanic at Dalmar Motors for 23 years. Beyond his professional life, he had a range of hobbies that showcased his creativity. He enjoyed pen making, working with leather, and fishing. His curiosity for the world didn’t end there; he was a history buff and found joy in watching “Jeopardy,” often impressing his family with his vast knowledge. Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl; his son, Paul; his sister, Edwina (lan) Pagan; his nephew, Stephen (Hayley) and family; his niece, Nicola (Ian) and family; and his stepchildren, Nicole (Kevin) Wall and Matthew (Kristie) Wilkinson, along with their extended families. He will also be missed dearly by his “boys,” Winston and Lincoln. Cremation will be held on February 27, 2025. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Gary’s dry sense of humor and hidden soft side, will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
