Garth Joseph Carragher
1950-2024
It is with heartfelt sadness, that we share the
news of Garth Carragher’s peaceful departure from this world
on Dec. 11, 2024, at the age of 74. Garth was surrounded by
family in the comfort of his home. He was a beloved husband, father,
“Pop”, brother, uncle, and friend.
Garth was a beloved husband of Yvonne(Daley), loving father
of Jeff Carragher (Detry), Shannon MacLeod (Bobby), and Nicolle
Gallant (Ryan); grandfather to Ethan and Maya, Ally and Liam, and
Jocelyn, Mason and Jordyn.
Garth is also survived by his sisters and brother; Shirley
Griffin (Raymond), Leigh Carragher (Carol), and Gwen Staub (Michael);
and sister-in-law Cathy Carragher; in-laws Florence Clinton, Douglas
Daley and Stevie Daley, and numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins. Garth was predeceased by his parents,
Frank and Edith Carragher, and his two brothers, Warren and Keir
Carragher.
Garth was the loving husband of Yvonne, with whom he shared a
beautiful journey of love and partnership for 52 years.
Together they shared a life with laughter, family, friends and many
cherished memories.
Garth may have left this world, but his love, laughter and
kindness will live on through his children and
grandchildren. He will be forever loved and forever
missed.
Resting at Hennessey’s Funeral Home. The
funeral will be held at St. Anne’s in Emyvale, PEI on
Monday, December 16th at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held
at the Hennessey’s funeral home on Sunday, December 15th
from 2-6 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Anne’s Parish Church
Restoration Fund.
