In loving memory of Garth Charles Huffman, who passed away at home on February 7, 2025 in his 90th year. Inseparable from his beloved wife Mary for over 65 years until her passing last summer, Garth is returning to her side. He was an exemplary father to Phil (Carol) and Margot (Mike), and a proud grandfather to Myles, Rebecca, and Sabrina.
An electrical engineer by profession, Garth considered building boats, cabins, docks, and fixing things to be “recreation.” He was a man of few words but many good deeds, serving his community as an Etobicoke Hydro Commissioner and generously supporting a multitude of noble causes.
Garth’s kindness, strong work ethic, and fairness will continue to inspire family, friends, and the many co-workers and community members whose lives have been enriched by his presence.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W, Etobicoke, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 2-4 pm. As an expression of sympathy, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
