Surrounded by family, our beautiful mother passed away at the grand old age of 106. She was the last of her generation. She is survived by her daughters Suzanne, Cecile and Lori. Predeceased by her first husband, Tony Gagnon, her second husband, Clifford Jones, and by her son, Louis Gagnon. Mom also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
Mom attributed her long life to ‘keeping her hands busy’, and to her faith in God. She was fiercely determined to maintain her independence as long as possible. Even after turning 100, she would make solo ventures aboard the bus or Skytrain. In her ’90’s, she learned to use computers and cellphones….texting and FaceTiming almost until her very last day.
We will all miss her terribly, but find comfort in knowing she lived a long, spirited life and that she has now found her own little corner of heaven.
