It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Elizabeth who passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the age of 86. Reunited with her beloved husband; Norman Francis, to whom she was lovingly married to for over 64 years before his passing in 2024. Cherished mother to Paul (Monique) Francis of Georgian Bluffs, Kelly (Johnny) Coulson of Hamilton and David (Susan) Francis of Dunnville. Proud grandmother to Tristan (Palkan), Meaghan (Thomas), Kodi (Kayla), Lacey (Joe), Blaze (Paige), Colten, Jayson, Taylor (Nina), Nicole (Lucas), Brandon and great-grandmother to Kara, Elaina, Alyvia and Hudson. Dear sister to Linda (Richard) Blache. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends across Canada and the United Kingdom. Predeceased by her parents as well as her three siblings. Elizabeth may be gone from this world; however, she lives on in the stories and memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. As per Elizabeth’s wishes, and those of her family, a private cremation will be taking place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday January 16, 2025 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 287 Plains Rd E, Burlington, on Friday January 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation; allocated towards pillows, would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
