It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Deanna Whalen, on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, surrounded by family. Deanna was born in Newfoundland, daughter of Sarah and John “Jack” Whalen. Deanna is also survived by her partner Hugh Scott, her children Taylor and Tyler, Hugh’s children Amber (James) and children Oliver and Zachary, Brittany (Bailey) and children Kaylum, Dominic, her brother John (Kim) and her nieces Jessica and Trinity. She will also be missed by her extended family, aunts, uncles and friends. Deanna is predeceased by sister Susan, her grandparents Henry and Laura Poole, and Albert and Babe Whalen of Newfoundland.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place January 16, 2025 from 2pm – 6pm, at her parents home.
