NICKERSON, Dean Wayne- 68, West Baccaro, Dean Nickerson passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Dean was born on December 18, 1956 in Baccaro Shelburne County Nova Scotia. He met his wife, Louise Luff in Brampton and had 37 beautiful years with her. Together they raised their son Clinton Nickerson in Brampton, until they recently moved back to Nova Scotia. For everyone who knew Dean, he was always ready to tell a story or a good joke. While he liked to tease his friends and family, all would agree that he had a kind heart and love for people. Dean was very generous and would offer to help others, feed them if they were hungry or share a cold beer or two. He held the title of many nicknames which included: Uncle Dean, Deaner, Mr Wilson and Snakey. During his time in Ontario, he had many different jobs, but was at SCP Pool Distributors for 20 years where he retired prior to moving back to Nova Scotia. He was always outside gardening and puttering around in his yard. In the warmer months he would like to go fishing and in winter he enjoyed ice fishing. Dean is survived by his wife Louise Luff and son, Clinton. Son of Maxine Nickerson (Clinton Nickerson, pre-deceased); father and mother-in-law, (Mike and Patt Luff, pre-deceased); brother, Sid Nickerson (Andrea); brother-in-law, Rob Luff (Cheryl); sister-in-law, Kathy Bishop (Greg); sister-in-law, Karen Cameron (Kevin); brother-in-law, Ted Luff (Tracy); sister-in-law, Janet Luff; brother-in-law, Mikey Luff (Dawn) and sister-in-law, Tanya Luff. Dean will be also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dean was a deeply beloved husband, father, uncle, cousin, brother and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected and will leave a hole in our hearts. We invite you all to share your pictures or memories. Dean would want us to share some good stories and memories that we all have. There will be a visitation held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, December 26, at the H. M.
