Obituary of Dave DeGelas
DeGelas: Dave “Blo-Bye”
A resident of Chatham, ON, Dave DeGelas passed away at home on January 23, 2025 at the age of 68.
Born in Chatham, Dave was the son of Frank and Helen DeGelas.
Beloved partner in crime for 13 wonderful years to Janice and their fur babies Jaida and CeCe.
Survived by his Sons D.J. & Amber, Jason & Brooke and their mother Linda and his bonus daughter Jennifer Gray.
Grandpa “Papa” to Brayden, Chloe, Emma, Mya, Ava, Ashton, Madison, Savannah and Great Grand-Daughter Everlee.
Loving brother to Dena (2017) & Wayne Anderson, Duncan, Jeannie, and Amy.
Dave was an avid lover of all sports, hockey being his main love; his all time favorite teams being the ones his sons and grandsons played on. He started hockey at a young age playing Junior Hockey with the Stratford Cullitons and then for Chatham Maroons. He continued with his passion by coaching hockey and baseball through numerous teams over the years. He was an avid antique car collector throughout his lifetime; his favourite being his 34′ Ford Coupe. In more recent years he loved going for drives with Janice and enjoying the odd Ceasar.
