Clifford Kilcup
1944-2025
The family of Clifford Darryl Kilcup announces with deep sadness his
peaceful passing at Victoria Glen Manor with loved ones by his side on
March 13, 2025. He was born on April 17, 1944 in Saint John.
Clifford was the son of the late Nellie and Harry Kilcup. He is
survived by his children, Karen (Devin), Michael (Michele), Matthew
(Charlee), Natalie (Caleb); grandchildren Sandy, Sienna, Malcolm and
Walter, niece and nephew and cousins.
Besides his parents, Clifford was predeceased by his stepfather, Fred
Flanagan and stepsister Eona Nunn, aunts, uncles and cousins.
After graduating from Southern Victoria High School, Clifford joined
the Canadian Air Force in the pilot training program. For medical
reasons he had to drop out of the program, much to his disappointment.
He took a two-year Industrial Arts teaching course at the New
Brunswick Institute of Technology. He earned a Master’s Degree
in Education from the University of New Brunswick. Most of his
teaching career was spent teaching math at Southern Victoria High
School. For 30+ years he earned the reputation of a highly skilled
math teacher.
Clifford spent many years volunteering in the community. He was a
member of the Perth Elks Club, P-A Legion, P-A Rec Commission. He
volunteered for the Farmers’ Market and the Legion Fair. For a
number of years he was a member of the New Brunswick Teachers’
Association Negotiating Team.
Clifford was very proud of his children’s sports achievements
and travelled long distances to watch them play and cheer them
on.
He played high school basketball and then senior men’s
basketball for a number of years. He loved cars, the faster the
better.
The family is grateful for the visits he received during his stay at
the Manor and, in particular, his faithful friends, Danny, Burpee and
Ron.
Clifford’s family thanks the staff of Victoria Glen Manor for
the exemplary care he received while he was a resident.
A memorial service will be held at Brunswick Funeral Home on Saturday,
April 19 at 2 pm, followed by a reception at the P-A Legion.
If you desire, in lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a
donation to Victoria Glen Manor Foundation, the P-A Legion, Branch 36,
Making a Difference Food Bank or a charity of your choice in
Clifford’s memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
