Obituary of Claire Louise Andrews
Claire Louise Andrews, 90 of Bridgetown passed away on March 4, 2025, in the Grand View Manor. Born on August 19, 1934, Claire was the daughter of the late Clarence “Sunny” and Marjorie (Roberts) Troop. Claire was born three months after the tragic death of her father. Clarence, for whom she was named after.
Claire had a love for animals, her pets included a racoon, hummingbird and a pigeon whom she adored. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as bowling, drama and spending time with her family in Hampton Beach. For many years Claire was employed as a bookkeeper for many businesses in the Annapolis Valley and she was a member of the St. James Anglican Church. Claire will be greatly missed.
Claire is survived by her nephews, Steve Troop, Grant (Joanne) Wright, Ian (Judy) Wright, and David (Judy) Wright; nieces, Ann (Tony) Dungale and Karel Spicer; as well as her sister-in-law, June Troop as well as many great nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Claire was predeceased by her first husband, Jim Rogers; second husband, David “Andy” Andrews; brother, Douglas “Doug” Troop; sister, Marjorie Wright; and brother-in-law, Bill Wright.
As per Claire’s request, there will be no Visitation or Celebration of Life. A private interment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Claire’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS.
