The death occurred at Prince County Hospital
Summerside, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 of Cathy Jean Wood of
Summerside, aged 68. Cathy was born in O’Leary on December
3, 1956, daughter of the late George & Doreen (Ellis)
Wood.
Loving mother Trevor Matthew (Lynne MacQuarrie) and the late
Travis Matthew (Shelly Coughlin).
Dear grandmother to Ryan, Kaden, Carter, Shelby-Lynne, Jacob,
Kaarsin, Jasper and Liv.
Cathy is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, as
well as cats Harold and Gizzy
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, son Travis, brothers
Dale (in infancy), Gary and her beloved puppy Schnook.
Resting at Ferguson’s Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday 4-6 pm. Graveside
service in the Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery at a later
date.
