Obituary of Carroll Elizabeth Adams
Born October 18,1940 in South Porcupine, Ontario; Carroll was the daughter of the late Lorne and Helen Jenkins. Carroll died peacefully at home, Thursday, August 14, 2025, with family at her side.
She was predeceased by her brother, Robert (1938) and husband, William John Adams (2023).
She is survived by her son, Christopher Adams (Nicole) and granddaughter, Sophia; brother, Dale Jenkins (Amy); niece, Pam (Liam and Lauren), nephew, David (Sara); brother-in-law, Richard Adams (Barb), nephew Charlie, and many, many treasured lifelong friends.
Carroll was raised in New Liskeard, Ontario. She graduated from the Greater Niagara General Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and nursed for 30 years in both Dunnville and Huntsville Hospitals. She retired from her successful nursing career in 1990, and then her and Bill partnered and opened Sandhill Nursery in Huntsville, Ontario. Bill and Carroll hung up their shovels and retired for good in Nova Scotia in 2000, where they made many new friends and explored the entirety of the province.
The family thanks everyone for their support and kindness during the last few years and a special thanks to Val who helped Carroll remain in her beloved home.
Honoring her wishes there will be no service. Donations in her memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife (hopeforwildlife.net) or Souls Harbour Rescue Mission (www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/991) in Halifax.
Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater.
