Obituary of Bruce Cameron
Passed away peacefully with family by his side after a short battle with cancer on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband and dear friend of Nancy for 63 wonderful years. Cherished father of David (Darlene), Kevin, and Greg. Proud Papa of Lindsy, Allison, Nicholas, Mathew, James, Aiden, and Marcus. Great-grandpa of Olivia. Survived by his loving sister Mary Hill (late Alex). Predeceased by his parents Robert and Mabel and his brother Glen (late Dorothea). Dear brother-in-law of Beverley Craig (late Dick) and Ruth Martin (Murray).
Bruce was a long-time member of Oakwood Bible Chapel where he served as an Elder for many years. He was active in Sunday school, Mission work, visiting the sick in hospital and hospice for many years. His faith and his belief in God were paramount in his life. He retired as a supervisor after 34 years of dedicated service with Ford Motor Company and then enjoyed 34 years of retirement. An avid fan of Detroit sports teams and his beloved Windsor Spitfires. Bruce was imaginative, funny, friendly and a practical joker. With him you never knew what to expect. He will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he has touched.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave., Windsor, 519-253-7236) on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A private family interment will take place prior to a complete Funeral Service at Oakwood Bible Chapel (2514 Cabana Road W, Windsor, ON N9G 1E5) at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
