Obituary of Beverly Edith Montgomery
The Eastman family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Beverley (Eastman) Montgomery on January 23, 2025, at Melville Gardens. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Melville Gardens for the exceptional care and support Beverley received.
Beverley was predeceased by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Montgomery, and her parents, Dinah and William “Bill” Eastman. She is survived by her siblings Wanda (Eastman) Soper, William “Dale” Eastman (Judy), and Debbie (Eastman) Conrad (Gary), as well as many special nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.
Beverley fondly remembered the friendships she built during her time working at the federal government’s Department of Supply and Services. Known for her independent spirit, she often spent time with family and her beloved dog Monty at the family “camp” on Porters Lake.
Beverley was an adventurer at heart and had a passion for travel, frequently sharing stories of her many cruises and voyages. Her love for exploration and the joy she found in connecting with others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. In keeping with Beverley’s wishes there will be no visitation or Funeral Service. A celebration of life will be held in the spring to honor Beverley’s memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
