Barry Allen Cooke
1958-2025
With great sadness we announce the passing of Barry Allen
Cook, born October 2, 1958 in Blacks Harbour NB. Barry passed on March
8, 2025 at the Charlotte County Hospital.
Barry fought a hard battle with COPD, he was in Charlotte
County Hospital for over 2 1/2 years and he rocked those halls
visiting everyone. Barry was very social and loved to talk and tell
tales. You never knew what he was going to say! He loved his family.
He was always asking about his kids and his siblings. He was very
proud of all his kids and grandkids.
He leaves behind in sadness his children Joni Cooke, Mike
Cooke, Alfred (Ken) Kelley, Ashley Wilcox, Emma Nina Jones, Allyssa
Cook (Chido) and Brandi Cooke. He also leaves many grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren. His siblings: Dianne Lambert (deceased
husband Chester), Horace (Dorothy) Cooke, Nila (Merlin) Craig, Gregory
(Tammy) Cooke, Bonnie (Larry) Parks and Trudy Cooke and sister-in-law
Alberta Cooke, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves
behind his long-time companion, Tammy Leavitt.
Barry was predeceased by his parents Horace and Lois Cooke,
brothers Wade Cooke, Sherman Cooke and Stillman “Raye” Cooke
and by nieces April Parks and Shawna Coulton.
We would like to thank all the staff on the Charlotte County
Hospital for being so wonderful to Barry.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. While there will be no visiting, the
family invites you to a celebration of Barry’s life, at the
Sea View Full Gospel Church on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Legere
officiating. The interment will take place in the St. George Rural
Cemetery at a later date. In his memory, donations to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
