It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, nanna and little nanna, Antonietta on February 23, 2025 at 79 years of age.
Reunited with her beloved husband, Gaspare Verardi (2018). Loving mother to Angelo Verardi (Kathy), Giovanna (Mitch Leblanc), Rosanna (Dike Onuoha) and Kristina (Todd Charbonneau). Cherished nanna to Vince (Angel), Toni (Jerry), Gaspare (Terry), Joey, Daniel (Hailey), Stefan, Christopher, Joshua, Mathew, Chijioke, Ayanna and little nanna to Olivia, Xavier, Natalia, Faith, Gabriella, Ethan and Scarlett. Dear daughter to Rosa and the late Vincenzo. Survived by her brothers, Luigi (Francesca), Mario (Rosa) and Alphonzo (Fausta) Costanzo and sister-in-law Chiara (Giacomo). Predeceased by her brother’s and sister in-law Francesco (Rosaria), Luciano (Angela) and Rosalina (Domenico). Antonietta will be greatly missed by her family in the USA, Canada and Italy, many nieces, nephews and all who knew and loved her, especially her fur baby Stella.
The most important thing to Antonietta was always her family. She spent her life loving, caring, and supporting her family and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her other passions include cooking amazing food, knitting blankets for family and Hospice, and gardening. She had a green thumb, and could grow just about anything. Upon arriving in Canada she discovered “Days of Our Lives”, which quickly became her favourite soap opera, and she would say with a smile that this is how she learned to speak English.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm with prayers at 7 pm at Families First South Windsor (3260 Dougall Ave. 519-969-5841). Family and friends are invited to Families First on Monday March 3, 2025, at 9:30am followed by a procession at 10:15am for an 11:00am Mass at St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave, Windsor, ON). Procession to Windsor Memorial Gardens for entombment to follow.
