It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and shocking death of Allison Fernandes (nee Fonseca) on August 28, 2025.
Allison first came to Edmonton from Bombay, India in 1975. Soon after her arrival, she met and married Aurelio, with whom they have two daughters, Anoushka and Monisha. Throughout her life in Canada, Allison was a beloved piano teacher, reliable parent volunteer at her daughters’ schools, and the long-serving music director for St. Matthew’s Catholic parish.
Allison is survived by her husband and daughters, son-in-law Ross, and grandchildren Theodore, Sebastian, and Sienna.
