Alec Clasper of Brooks, Alberta, loving husband of Cheryl Clasper, passed away in Brooks on February 11th, 2025 at the age of 77 years. Alec was born on March 30th, 1947, in Stanley County of Durham, England, to George and Jane Clasper. Alec resided in New Castle Upon Tyne, England, before moving to Canada in 1964. He worked for IPSCO for over 30 years, where he conducted Ultrasonic Testing. Alec married Cheryl Burney on April 4th, 1981, in Brooks. He will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing, crocheting, camping and playing darts. Alec was an was an active member of The Lions Club in Brooks, serving as President for a time. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Alec is predeceased by his parents, George and Jane Clasper and his daughter Lousie. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl; sons, Andrew (Tammie) and Tim; daughters, Jacqueline (Jody) and Kimberley and 3 grandchildren, Brittany, Chey and Linden. A private family interment will be held at the Brooks Cemetery. In memory of Alec, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Lions Club Box 732, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 7G6.
