When great souls die, after a period, peace blooms. Our precious mother and grandmother Yvonne Snooks (nee Brake) passed peacefully away due to a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, Match 28, 2023 at the age of 67. Yvonne will be sadly missed by her son Marty (Jennifer); her daughter Marsha and grandson Matthew. Known as Babe to her siblings, sisters: Madonna (Terry), Dorothy (Alex) and Irma (David); brothers: Max and Bradley (Cheryl); two special aunts Lena and Betty; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Yvonne was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Thomas Snooks, her parents Inez and Harvey Brake and mother-in-law Caroline Gaulton.
The snooks family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Western Memorial Hospital who tended to her illness and the amazing staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the new acute care hospital in Corner Brook.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Meadows with Rev. Madonna Boone officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family or Pancreatic Cancer Research.
The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass way.
