Yolanda Piscolla passed away peacefully on July 10, 2023 in Montreal, at the age of 90, surrounded by family.
Daughter of Assunta Di Ridolfo and Pasquale Piscolla of Campobasso, Italy, Yolanda grew up in a large family in Montreal, and lived for a time in Florida and Spain. Fluent in four languages, Yolanda was a talented singer whose spirit soared when she listened to her favourite big band and jazz artists. She was a gifted cook, and her lovingly prepared meals brought family and friends together on special occasions, holidays, or just because.
She is survived by her devoted children, Jo-Ann (Michael), John (Dilek), and Kenny (Annie); grandchildren Bianca, John-Jacob (Sara), Melissa, and Alissia; step-grandchildren Laurent, Chris, and Jessica; great-grandson Jacob and step-great-grandson Jack; siblings Joe (Carole), Tony (Manon), and Silvia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is predeceased by her first husband, John Malandra; her second husband, Andre Ruiz; and her siblings Massimo, Rosa, Primiano, Alfonso, Maria, and Letizia.
Visitation will be held at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, QC H2V 2P9, on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a service in the chapel at 1:00 pm.
