It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of William (Billy) James Maynard Wright at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus, Ottawa on July 23rd, 2023, at the age of 68. Beloved son of the late William George Wright and the late Leona Muriel Wright. Billy will be sadly missed by his Aunt Jean, Gerald (Judy), Debbie (Janette), Linda (Brian), Gary (Carolann), Kenny (Cathy), Bonnie (Gary) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Billy will always be in our hearts and thoughts and will now rest with his dear parents. Those who knew and loved Billy will miss his infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and mischievous nature. Billy found happiness, love, and joy in the small things and found community wherever he ventured. He is one of the good ones and the world is better for it.
A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses, in the ICU at the Civic Hospital, for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favourite charity in Billy’s memory.
Friends and family may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa. Following the interment, we welcome you to join us at Granny’s home, 471 Dennison Road, Kemptville for a celebration of Billy’s life.
