Obituary
William “Bill” McRae 80, of Moncton passed away peacefully within the comforts of his home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of the late William and Dulce (Gates) McRae.
Bill retired as Corporate Account Manager with Imperial Tobacco (25 years’ service) and as a Senior Tax Specialist with H&R Block. In past years, Bill enjoyed golfing, playing pool at the Dart Club, making, and enjoying a good glass of wine and socializing with family and friends. He was a former member of Lakeside Golf & Country Club and 2nd best player at cribbage with Doris.
Bill will be sadly missed by his partner, Doris McKay of Petitcodiac; Sheila Waller of Israel, Ken Waller (Joyce) of Sharbot Lake, ON/Phoenix, AZ; Bob Waller (Pat) of Burlington, ON; extended family members and many close friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife, S. Anne (Ryan) McRae (April 2010) and son, Gordon (1988).
A gathering to Celebrate and Share Memories of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday July 22nd from 2-4 p.m. at the Fairhaven Funeral Home Reception Hall – 1177 Salisbury Road in Moncton
