William “Bill” Mackie passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022 at the age of 77.
Predeceased by his parents Edna and William Mackie, Bill will be lovingly remembered by his sister Wendy Mackie, and cherished children, son James Mackie (Katie), new grandson William, and daughter Leah Mackie (Amir).
Born in Toronto, he had a long and successful career as a dedicated insurance broker in both the GTA and KW, but predominantly called Waterloo Region home for most of his life.
Extended family and friends will remember Bill best for his generosity, friendliness, fun-loving nature, sense of humour, and his masterful bbq skills.
A private celebration of life will be held in Bill’s honour. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
