William “Bill” McPhee
William “Bill” McPhee passed away peacefully, at the age of 81, in the Perth Hospital on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 with family by his side. Loving husband to Frieda (nee Jackson). He will be fondly remembered by her daughters Brenda (late Derrick Murray) and their family Andrea (Adam), Kristopher and his son Ryker, Joshua; Darlene (Fraser Arrol) and their family Michael (Diane); Barb and her family Jessica and her children Izaah, Maleka, Malakai, Nicole (Janet) and their daughter Saige. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Ken Jackson, Norman Sweeney, Percy Sweeney, Rayburn Sweeney and sisters-in-law Bertha Tovey and Patricia Brownlee. He was predeceased by his parents Harold McPhee and Dorothy Echlin, sister Shirley McTiernan and brother Robert “Bob” McPhee. Bill will be deeply missed by his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill loved playing his guitar and singing with his friends, hunting and camping. He was the former music organizer at the Lanark Legion and a proud member of the Sand City Hunt Club and the Old Time Fiddlers.
As per Bill’s wishes, there will be no visitation or formal service. A private graveside ceremony will take place.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted into the care of the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place.
