The Lord took away my beloved son Wesley John Smids on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Born in Chatham 57 years ago to Gerty Smids and the late John Smids (2004). Survived by siblings Len and Margaret Wassenaar, Andrew and Linda Westerveld. Also remembered by several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Wes enjoyed working at Home Hardware on Keil Drive in Chatham. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those who loved him.
A graveside interment will take. place at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
