Howes: Robert “Wayne” –
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Wayne Howes passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the age of 78.
Born in Chatham, Wayne was the son of the late Noble and Elvera (nee Scherle) Howes.
Survived by his son David Howes (Mary) of Chatham.
Gramps to Mitchell Howes (Liz) and Zachary Howes.
Great-Gramps to Harley, Logan and Colton.
Wayne is leaving behind his best friend Tiger.
Wayne has been retired from Canada Post for over 23 years. He was an active member of Chatham Christian Centre for over 20 years.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 3:00 – 5:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 with Rev. Paul McPhail officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations made in memory of Wayne to a local food bank or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
