Obituary of Warren Palmer Peters
Warren Palmer Peters was born in Kingston, Ontario on August 29, 1931 and passed away at the age of 91on Thursday April 20, 2023. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife (June McUen) and 3 daughters (Deborah Emmerson, Susan Villeneuve and Wendy Peters). The bird sounds called Warren home as he peacefully departed from this world.
Warren and June enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage. They met as young teenagers.
Warren lived his life fully. He achieved great success in both work and play. Warren had the opportunity to live across Canada and travel to many interesting places. Above all, he loved nature and the outdoors. Throughout his travels Warren always returned home to his favourite place which was the cottage on Loughborough Lake.
He was blessed with 3 sons-in-law, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was very happy and proud of his growing family. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Warren embraced every opportunity to enjoy his family and share time with friends.
Visitation will take place on Saturday May 6 at 12 noon, at the James Reid Funeral home – 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 1 pm with a reception afterwards. All family and friends are invited to join us.
The family will participate in a private internment the following day.
In lieu of flowers, please support University Health Kingston Foundation – Providence Care (uhkf.ca) as they provided consistent and excellent care for Warren over many months.
