Walter Raugust of Ponoka passed away suddenly on June 23, 2023 at the age of 83 years.
He will be loving remembered by his son Brad (Raelene) Raugust, grandson Matthew Raugust, granddaughter Carissa Raugust, granddaughter Jessica (Chase) & great-grandson Ryder Nicholson, grandson William Klassen and granddaughter Lily Raugust; his daughter Brenda (Dwight) Durie, grandson Braden Durie and granddaughter Bailey (Steve) Bergstrom; his brother Alfred (Hilda) Raugust, his sisters Hildegard Meske & Annie Grant; brothers-in-law Joe Megyesi, Richard (Patricia) Jones, Gord (Kris) Jones, Bing (Shirley) Jones; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Walter was predeceased by his wife Marion; daughter Bonnie; parents Otto & Maria Raugust; sisters Lillian Makus, Gertie Blumstengel, Ella Megyesi; sister-in-law Pamela Jones; brothers-in-law Fritz Makus, Fred Blumstengel, Heinz Meske, and Larry Grant; and niece Allison Jones..
A Celebration of Life will be held for Walter on July 6th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ponoka United Church. For those who are unable to attend in person, the service will be live-stream broadcast at service time and a recording of the service will also be available online following the service. The video link will be located at the bottom of this page.
