Wally Herman passed away peacefully at the Perley Health, Ottawa on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Wally Herman in his 98th year, beloved husband of the late Marie Thérèse for 64 years. Loving father of Rob (Katherine), Christine (Michel) and Richard (Hélène). Bon Papa to Antoine, Julie, Lillian, Patrick, Marc. Son of the late Joseph and Natalie Herman and dear brother of Leroy (Pat) and the late Doug (late Bernice). Also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces. Wally was a World War 2 Navy Veteran and was a respected pioneer in the world of marathon and long distance running. Friends and family may gather at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 3 to 5pm. In Wally’s memory, donations to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
